The food is excellent and a pleasure every time you visit. The standard menu is complemented by changing dishes, which means that a regional and seasonal selection is always offered. You will be surprised again and again by new, unusual but extremely tasty combinations, which Christian Dierich puts together with a lot of creativity. A visit to the Einkehr is always a culinary excursion to look forward to. The service is excellent too. Florian Repnik and his team create a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. Time is taken for every single guest and request and a wonderful stay is made possible. The service is very courteous and friendly. The restaurant invites you to relax and even if all tables are occupied, the background noise remains very pleasant. The stop at the platform is worth a visit for everyone and is definitely recommended! :)

In COVID times we used the delivery service. Super delicious food. On time to the minute. Fair prices. Nice and warm and yet everything is packed in cardboard in an environmentally friendly way. Gladly again. (My tip - preheat plates in the oven).

What can I say ? A consistently successful evening in every respect. The boss and his team greeted us when we entered the location. We were shown to our table and from then on the bear started tapping. There aren't many people left who appreciate the right ambience in a restaurant. I mean just seeing the bigger picture. Plates set correctly, ALWAYS served from the right without exception. Asked several times how he was feeling or whether dessert was to be brought on call and all the other little things that numally separate the wheat from the chaff. EVERYTHING FITS HERE. The greeting from the kitchen was a pleasure and made us want more. From the starter to the main course to dessert, the food was of a very high standard and extremely tasty. Here the eye really still eats. Respect to the master of the kitchen. This is how a Michelin-starred restaurant should be. There is none, but I'm sure it will be. Mr. Repnik, that was our first time with you and I can promise you it wasn't the last time. When it comes to eating with all your senses, from today you are our number 1 address. We are looking forward to it.

Food was great and nice selection of wine. Highly recommend the vegetable risotto and Rinderschmorbraten. Great flavors and nice ambiance. Perfect for a date night.

We visited the hotel and restaurant with children for a weekend and loved it. As soon as we arrived we were greeted very friendly by the receptionists. Rooms and the whole accommodation was very clean and well-kept. The restaurant Einkehr am Gleis was awesome. Everything was very uncomplicated, professional and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice and pleasant. The owner of the restaurant was always there and was very friendly and always took the time to chat and exchange ideas with customers. It was also no problem to modify a dish with special requests e.g. to conjure up a vegan version of a dish. The food was very tasty, it always looked very elegant and was a pleasure for all the senses. Definitely recommendable! We would love to come back !!

Hotel: design, functionality, friendliness. Everything perfect! Restaurant: Great service and very nicely presented dishes, very tasty and always seasonal, small menu. Mmmmmh ...

Very beautiful hotel, clean, cosy rooms. It doesn't matter that it is located at railway, as you can hardly hear trains. Beach is ca. 100 meters away. Personel is very kind and offers you a lot of useful information about location. Hotel also offers e-bike rental. Small remark for guest, who will take rooms for 4 (Team room) - toilets and showers are for whole floor, but they are clean. Highly recommend it to visit and stay.

The beer garden is nice, but unfortunately the hotel is not recommended. Due to the direct proximity to the platform, it is very noisy at night and unfortunately we could not sleep through the night.

Nice, modern hotel with nice rooms. The staff is extremely friendly and always helpful. The breakfast offers a good selection even under Corona circumstances and tastes delicious. The bike hotel is practically right on the water, you just have to cross the tracks to get to a public bathing area. In the room there were a lot of black spots on the walls upstairs (squashed flies?), Here could / should be painted over. All in all a pleasant stay, we'd love to come back!

Super clean room, great reception, really tried hard. The first night was very warm despite the air conditioning, but bearable. The next day (without asking) there was an additional air conditioner in the room. We will be back definitely!!! :-) What could be improved: a small closet and a small TV would round off the hotel (but still perfect value for money)

Super delicious food. Attentive and reserved service. Definitely make the best of a difficult situation and you feel that you are in good hands. The food is definitely worth the money. The quality is great and the portion size is exactly so that even after three courses you are wonderfully full but not completely over-eaten. Definitely worth a visit and highly recommended.

We received a very friendly welcome from Carla, she was always very helpful and courteous. The rooms and the entire hotel was very clean. The restaurant Einkehr is highly recommended, we were spoiled with delicious and fresh dishes. We'll be back for sure. Thanks for the nice days.

We were in the restaurant Einkehr am Gleis on 08/09/2019. Mr. Repnik and his head chef Mr. Dierich are masters of their respective craft, worth at least a Bib-Gourmand. The service is attentive, pleasantly unobtrusive and reliable. Depending on the way they are served, the dishes are a feast for the eyes and also tastefully combined. The pictures show the Allgäu pasture cattle with fries dauphine, the Stauferico (a cross of the acorn pig), the gazpacho with wild-caught shrimp, the bouillabaisse, the dessert and the cheese plate. The wine offer is rich and dominated by well-known regional wineries. Of course, there are also non-alcoholic drinks, beer and coffee / tea on the menu. The guests at the next table swam over the veal sausage in an impressive arrangement. The restaurant is easily accessible by bike, car and train. The outside area is inviting, the inside area furnished in a contemporary, functional way. The toilet facilities are extremely clean. The pricing is fair and reasonable. A stop at the platform in Markelfingen is a real insider tip. Radolfzell has won a real top restaurant. Compliments to the owner, chef and team! We loved it and will be back! Thank you!

Super friendly staff, rooms and facilities spotless. Good size rooms but aircon is not adjustable and of course you are right on the train track. Modern, clean and super priced.

RADHOTEL ... and now .... you have to go there / can you go there to eat ?? Many will think like this or something like that. But I had heard so many good things and so we went there for lunch on Easter Saturday. And to be honest: I was really excited. There was a menu and it was far from average. Far better! When I sat there I was torn back and forth. On the one hand I wish the operator (Mr. Repnik) that he has as much success as possible (because he fully deserves it! It's just very good!) On the other hand, I also wish that it should remain an insider tip. And one way or another .... I've now decided to post a post. Markelfingen is not exactly the "hub of the world" and it is just too good to go unmentioned. Keep it up and good luck!!
